News... Sesame Place Announces Grand Opening of Sunny Day Carousel

Sesame Place, the ideal first theme park for children under age 7, announces the opening day of its 28th season. On May 3, 2008, the Sunny Day Carousel, adorned with 36 cute, colorful, muppetized horses and two benches resembling Snuffleupagus, will be unveiled as the park's new centerpiece. Hop on with your tots and you'll be surrounded by the sounds of traditional calliope and organ performances of "Sesame Street" favorite tunes.

Other familiar favorites at Sesame Place include the rides at Elmo's World, Big Bird's Balloon Race, Cookie Mountain, Ernie's Bounce Bed and a stroll down the Sesame Street Neighborhood. A bathing suit and swim diapers are a must to enjoy Rubber Duckie Pond, Little Bird's Birdbath, Count's Fount and Teeny Tiny Tidal Waves among other water rides and slides.

From May 3 through 18, the park will be open Fridays through Sundays. Beginning on the 23rd, the park will be open daily, returning to the weekend schedule between Labor Day and October 25. Admission is $47.50 per person for a two-day ticket (the second day can be anytime during the season) and children under 24 months are free.
