I found a great family resort at Casa Ybel on Sanibel Island, Florida, where we stayed for seven wonderful days. At $2520 for four of us, we thought it was real value, and your family may be able to find a good deal, too.

The good family atmosphere impressed me and there was a kids club to provide entertainment for the young ones. My 5-year-old had fun at the club, swimming at the pool and playing at the beach. My only complaint is the limited amount of onsite dining available.

While we were on Sanibel, my family also enjoyed a visit to the nearby Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge and the Shell Museum.
